DermLite Servicing

Macquarie Medical Systems is the Authorised Service Centre for the DermLite Range throughout Australia, the South Pacific and South East Asia.

We maintain the 3GEN Factory 10 year* warranty on all Dermlite Devices. We will happily service any DermLite device, whether it was purchased from us or from another company across the globe.

We happily service all devices under warranty and out of warranty. Warranty repairs, once approved are at no cost for parts and labour(excluding freight charges). Please note: if the device is not purchased from Macquarie Medical Systems or MoleMax Systems, then all freight charges are borne by the customer.

3Gen DermLite Warranty

DermLite devices purchased after 1 July 2018 include an extended 10-year warranty* from the date of purchase. Products purchased prior to July 2018 carry a 5-year warranty*.

Warranty Coverage
This warranty covers parts and labor and will be honored based on the condition of proper use of the device and following the operating instructions. During the warranty period, defects in the device will be repaired free of charge as long as the malfunction is due to defective material or workmanship. DermLite IceCap® with any manufacturer defects will be replaced within 30 days of purchase. This warranty does not cover loss, damage due to wear and tear, negligent use, hard impacts, missing parts, water damage, 6v lithium batteries past 6 months, lithium rechargeable batteries beyond 1 year, scratched or chipped lens, unauthorized repairs, improper cleaning, or damages incurred during shipping to our repair facility.


Third-party products including cameras are exclusively covered by the third-party's (camera manufacturer's warranty).

Discontinued DermLite Devices
Any defective DermLite HÜD covered under warranty will be replaced by the newer DermLite HÜD 2.


Please be aware that the following long-discontinued DermLite devices are no longer supported, and users should be encouraged to upgrade to a current model: DermLite alumina, DermLite II Fluid, DermLite II hybrid m, DermLite II HR
DermLite II multispectral, DermLite II Pro, DermLite DL3, DermLite FOTO, DermLite Cam, DermLite Platinum, DermLite Pro DP-R.

*Please note: The following items carry a 1-year warranty: Spare parts, accessories (including smartphone adapters, pouches), rechargeable batteries carry a 1-year warranty and DermLite HÜD, DermLite Foto, DermLite Foto II Pro, DermLite Foto X, DermLite Cam, Syris v900L carry a 2-year warranty.
Unclaimed products sent in for repair will be discarded 1 year after receipt.

Repairs

Should Your DermLite require repair, please contact us with an explanation of the problem. If this issue is valid as part of the 3Gen DermLite warranty, we will repair your device free of charge. Whether or not it has been purchased from us, we will happiliy service all devices. Devices under warranty will be repaired at no charge for parts or labour (freight costs may apply). Otherwise, our service and technical team provide a quote for repair and will work with you to easily and quickly repair your device
